Large Main Compartment with Protective Flap

The wide-opening flap gives easy access to the entire main compartment. Its thick, supportive construction protects your belongings from impacts and helps the backpack maintain its shape.

Stretch Drop Pocket in the Flap

Inside the flap, a stretch drop pocket is ideal for items you want to keep separate from the main contents or have quickly accessible.

Internal Pocket for Small Items

A zippered internal pocket keeps smaller essentials organized. Thanks to its foldable design, the pocket can be pulled over packed items for easy access or folded completely out of the way.

Side-Access Zippered Laptop Compartment

A zippered compartment located against the back panel allows quick and secure laptop access. The pocket also fits larger laptops when needed.

Handcrafted

Our products are made from durable 1000D Cordura® and surplus PVC, ensuring long-lasting use and excellent weather resistance. The straps and webbing are made from high-strength polyester for added reliability and comfort in daily use.

Our goal is to design gear that’s simple, functional, and includes only the essential features. Each item is carefully developed to meet your needs—whatever the purpose. We constantly strive to improve our designs to enhance your user experience.

We use surplus PVC—offcuts from larger fabric rolls—that would otherwise go to waste. This material not only gives our products a modern, weatherproof finish but also significantly reduces environmental impact.

Using surplus PVC allows us to eliminate up to 80% of potential PVC waste and lower both our carbon footprint and production costs, without compromising on performance or aesthetics.

All Välnorth Gear backpacks are handmade in Finland, mostly in our own workshop in Rauma. This ensures high quality at every step.

We blend traditional craftsmanship with modern materials to create durable, functional gear with a clean Nordic look.
