Refund policy
The consumer has the right to cancel the order and return the purchased product within 14 days of receiving it. The right of return applies to unused products in resalable condition with all product tags and labels attached. Please note that the consumer is responsible for ensuring the product remains in resalable condition when returning it.
How to Return a Product
Contact our customer service at info@valnorthgear.fi to notify us of your intention to return a product. We will provide you with instructions and the necessary information for the return. Your email should include the orderer’s name, address, and order number.
Send the product back in its original packaging within 14 days of your return request. Please note that the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs unless the product is defective.
Refunds
Once we have received and inspected the returned product to confirm it is in resalable condition, we will notify you by email that the return has been approved. The refund will be processed using the same payment method you used when placing the order. The refund will appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Please note that shipping costs are not refunded unless the product is defective or incorrect.
Defective or Incorrect Products
If the product you received is incorrect or defective, please contact us immediately at info@valnorthgear.fi. We will replace the defective item free of charge or offer a full refund.
Product Exchanges
We currently do not offer direct exchanges for orders. If you wish to exchange a product, we recommend returning the original item and placing a new order through our online store. Prices from previous purchases cannot be applied to future orders.
12-Month Warranty
All Välnorth Gear products come with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty that covers manufacturing defects. The warranty period begins once the buyer has received the product. The warranty duration is stated on our website and on the customer's receipt. The warranty is valid only for the specified period.
Manufacturing Defects
Common material and manufacturing defects may include stitching errors, faults in buckles, straps, or zippers, as well as fabric flaws and irregularities. For this reason, we recommend inspecting products before first use.
User Errors and Natural Wear
The material and product warranty covers only manufacturing defects and faults. (Note: see section on surplus PVC). The warranty does not cover misuse of the product or normal wear and tear from use, nor any resulting damage, breakage, or related issues. For example, the warranty does not cover fire damage, improper packing with sharp objects, overpacking, or zipper breakage caused by excess strain.
Warranty All Year Round
Välnorth Gear's warranty is designed to cover all seasons. Please note that different seasons and weather conditions affect products in different ways. Our products are made to withstand exposure to sunlight, cold, moisture, dirt, and mechanical wear. When used properly, the product is durable and long-lasting.
Although our products are built to endure heavy use and wear, they are not indestructible. Misuse will naturally reduce the product’s lifespan, and any damage resulting from such misuse is not covered under warranty.
Claims
If the product is defective, please contact our customer service at info@valnorthgear.fi. Describe what has happened or been observed, and include the purchase receipt and photos of the issue. Please note that a detailed description of the issue helps both the seller and the buyer to handle the warranty case more efficiently.
